Abilene

We are excited to announce the development of the Campus Walkway, a new pedestrian connection between Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) and Hendrick Health. This initiative strengthens our academic and clinical partnerships while enhancing navigation within the medical district of Abilene. This walkway will provide a direct link from the TTUHSC campus to the front entrance of Hendrick Health. By creating a more seamless connection for learners and team members, we are reinforcing our commitment to ensuring a stronger future for health care professionals and the patients they serve in the Big Country.

TTUHSC is committed to fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration as a planning principle. This includes providing contemporary learning spaces. The TTUHSC School of Nursing continues to grow in the Big Country. In response to our increased nursing cohort size in Abilene, we are making enhancements to several classrooms and our Simulation Center. Classrooms 2400 and 2500 will see renovations to include stadium seating and the addition of new technology. Classrooms 1200 and 1205 with be converted into additional high-fidelity simulation rooms with expanded debriefing space in rooms 1300 and 1301.

Interior Branding Enhancements. TTUHSC established a strong brand presence across all locations as a Standard of Excellence in the Institutional Master Plan. TTUHSC is enhancing interior branding across all locations, including Abilene, to strengthen our unified identity and reinforce that TTUHSC is the Future of Health. This initiative builds on successful renovations at other locations and is part of a broader effort to ensure a cohesive and impactful presence across all TTUHSC locations.

As part of our standards of excellence to provide the highest quality learning and working environments, TTUHSC has identified the Abilene campus as a location warranting greater attention to eat and drink together. By improving access to convenient food and drink choices, TTUHSC is fostering a more collaborative and supportive campus environment. This effort aligns with a broader commitment to enhancing this standard of excellence across TTUHSC locations.
